On January 25, 2025, the "Marneuli Cup" in chess among children and teenagers was held at the "Tea House" with the organization of the "Development and Education Center" and the support of "SOCAR". A total of 41 chess players participated in the competition. In the competition consisting of five rounds, Umid Aliyev (Georgian Azerbaijanis Integration Center - GAIM) was awarded 1st place with 5 points in the 8-10 age category, Ali Bayramov (Secondary School No. 1 of the Sadakhli village of Marneuli Municipality) was awarded 2nd place with 4 points and Timur Kalayev (Tea House. Marneuli) was awarded 4 points in the 3rd place.
In the 10 and older age category, Ali Aliyev (Tea House. Marneuli) was awarded 5 points in the 1st place, Rafael Bayramov (Tea House. Marneuli) was awarded 4 points in the 2nd place and Onur Asgarov (Tea House. Marneuli) was awarded 4 points in the 3rd place.
The winners were awarded cups, diplomas and medals.
The competition was organized by the head of the "Tea House" chess club, Jahandar Bayramov, and Tacir Allahverdiyev.
